New Year!!

Hi Ladies!

It's a new year and the BBC is pressing on!  I know I truly missed our monthly gatherings and am excited about getting together soon to talk and learn from great books and each of the wonderful members of our book club.

Jane and I were thinking we should meet soon to catch up, choose books for 2009, and get our bookclub back on track.  How about Tuesday, Jan 17th at Emily's house (7:30 pm)?

These Is My Words

Ladies!

If you haven't read the October book These Is My Words yet, you are in for a treat! The story is about the extraordinary life of the author's Great Grandmother, who lived in the Arizona Territories at the turn of the century. You've got a bit more time than usual to start or finish it, since due to the elections I think we're meeting on Tuesday, November 11th.

The author, Nancy Turner, is an Arizona resident, and regularly speaks to book groups. On a whim I contacted her, and she is available and willing to talk with us by phone on November 11th.

I'm looking forward to meeting with you all again soon and hearing what you thought about the book!
